The Property Owners Act of Virginia (POA) "requires the seller (of a home located in a homeowners association) to obtain from the property owners' association an association disclosure packet and provide it to the purchaser."   In accordance with the law, the Association has 14 days to remit the packet after receiving a completed POA Disclosure Request Form (from the seller or seller's authorized agent) and payment.  There are fees associated with various disclosure package preparation options.  If you need to order a POA package in conjunction with the sale of your home, you may fax your completed request to 703.497.7145 and call 703.491.2154 x101 or x128 to verify receipt. Payment fees for POA Disclosure Packets are collected at settlement.
