Our five community pools and sprayground operate from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day, seven days a week.
For admittance to aquatics facilities, members need a validated membership card. Please see the Membership page on how to obtain membership cards.
Guest Passes
All guests must be accompanied by an LRPRA member and have a
valid guest pass. Guest passes may be purchased at pools and the
Recreation Department. Exact change or a check is needed for
purchases at the pool. Each guest requires one pass per
day. Guest passes have no expiration date, so feel free to stock
up. Guest pass fees are non-refundable.

Water Aerobics Oakwood Pool Monday - Friday, 10am
Lake Ridge Members only - Join us at the Oakwood Pool Monday through Friday from 10A.M. until 10:45A.M. beginning June 20th and lasting through August 26th for a fun low impact cardiovascular workout. You may purchase a season pass for $100 at the LRPRA Administration Office at 12350 Oakwood Drive, or pay $5 each time you drop in at the pool.

Rent a Pool
Pools may be rented by homeowners for the hours after they close until 12 midnight. The Pool Rental Fee is a flat rate of $200. Additionally a payment of $75 per hour is charged for the minimum three lifeguards required for the duration of the rental. You must fill out a rental agreement form and pay the full amount of the rental and lifeguard fee to secure your date. A cash security deposit of $200 is required prior to the rental date. RED CROSS SWIM LESSONS
Red Cross classes are taught by certified instructors
Parent/Child Build swimming readiness by emphasizing fun in the water. Parents and children participate in guided practice sessions that help children learn elementary skills. Prerequisite: 6 months through 5 years of age.
Cost: LRPRA Members: $50; Non-Members: $55
Level 1 (Water Exploration) The object of level 1 is to help students feel comfortable in the water and enjoy the water safely. The course will cover supported floating and kicking on front and back, alternating arm action, water safety rules, and fundamentals of using a life jacket. There are no prerequisites for this course.
Cost: LRPRA Members: $60 Non-members: $65
Level 2 (Primary Skills) The object of level 2 is to give students success with fundamental skills. The course will cover floating and kicking on front and back, turning over front and back, reaching and extension assists, familiarity with rescue breathing. Prerequisite: Students must be able to demonstrate all requirements of level 1.

Level 3 (Stroke Readiness) The object of level 3 is to build on the skills of level 2 by providing additional guided practice. The course will cover fundamentals of elementary backstroke, jumping into deep water with a life jacket, diving from side of pool, treading water, self-rescue skills, rescue breathing.
Prerequisite: Students must be able to demonstrate all requirements of level 2.

Level 4 (Stroke Development) The objective of level 4 is to develop confidence and competency in strokes and safety beyond preceding level. The course will cover deep-water bobbing, dives from side of pool from stride and standing positions, breaststroke and sidestroke, turns at the wall, familiarity with CPR.
Prerequisite: Students must be able to demonstrate all requirements of level 3.

Level 5 (Stroke Refinement) The object of level 5 is to develop confidence and competency in strokes and safety. The course will cover alternate breathing, swimming underwater, butterfly, open turns on front and back, diving safely, beginning diving progression from diving board (optional).
Prerequisite: Students must be able to demonstrate all requirements of level 4.

Level 6 available upon request
(Skill Proficiency) The object of level 6 is to refine the strokes so students swim them with ease, efficiency, power and smoothness over greater distances. Level 6 is designed with "menu" options and each of these options focus on preparing students to participate in more advanced courses, such as Water Safety Instructor and Lifeguard Training.
