2008 Camp Information

CP Plus Summer Camp
Children do not have to attend the LRPRA Creative Preschool to enroll in CP Plus however they must have prior preschool experience. This program is designed for children who will be 5 years of age by September 1, 2008 and combines the fun of summer camp with the educational opportunities of preschool. Each day our campers will enjoy arts & crafts, plays, stories, sports, swim time, and more. All of these fun activities will be enhanced with educational activities designed to further prepare your child for Kindergarten and beyond. Each week the events will be built around a special theme to further enhance your child’s experience. These weekly themes will include: Ocean Devotion, Space Exploration, Math Mania, Dinosaurs, Outdoor Adventure, Birds of a Feather, Come to Your Senses, and Zoo Animals. The program hours are 8:30 am – 1:30 pm with Pre-K age children meeting Mon through Fri.. Camp costs are as follows:

Nature Detectives Summer Camp (8 – 10 year olds! )
We had the older kids in mind when we developed this camp! Give your child the opportunity to explore nature’s treasures. Games, nature walks, arts and crafts, will fill your child’s morning and have them respecting our earth and wanting to learn more! Campers need to bring a morning snack and drink each day. Lunch is not included in this camp. In order to provide the highest quality camp, space is limited to only 8 children.
When: August 20 - 24
Where: Ridgewood Center, 12400 Oakwood Drive
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Cost: LRPRA Members: $75.00,  Nonmembers: $80.00

Super Summer Day Camp
That’s right Mom and Dad! It’s time to start planning your child’s summer. Our Summer Camp is a State Licensed program and we have filled each week with many exciting activities, local field trips, arts and crafts projects and games that will keep your child happy and busy all summer long. Space is limited. Start planning today! Registration begins March 3 and camp begins Monday June 23. Contact 703-497-7112 for details.

Children are divided into age groups as follows:
6 - 7 year olds
8 - 9 year olds
10 - 12 year olds

FEES:
Parents must indicate which weeks their child will be attending at time of registration. Children do not have to attend camp consecutive weeks. Notice of cancellation must be received 30 days prior to camp date for refund.

 One Week full day pass: LRPRA Members $135.00 Non-Members $145.00

Make Time for Game Time
Game Session for Middle School Students
(entering grades 6 – 8 in the fall of 08)
July 21 – 25 and July 28 – August 1
1:00 – 3:00pm Monday thru Friday
$40.00 a week or $75.00 for 2 weeks

Two weeks of fun!  

These sessions provide Middle School aged children a summer activity introducing games where they can socialize with others; stimulate their minds; and improve their communication/leadership skills. Vocabulary and Math skills might just improve too. Most importantly they will have lots of FUN!
