Updating Governing Docs

The Declaration, By-Laws & Article Review Committee was formed in 2008 with the purpose of proposing amendments to the Lake Ridge Parks and Recreation Association's governing documents that would update these documents, accommodate technology changes, and include previous   resolutions passed by the Board of Directors. These governing documents are comprised of the Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions, the By-Laws and the Articles of Incorporation.

Also referred to as the Update Docs Committee, the committee members are Board Directors, volunteer homeowners and Association staff members. The committee first met on October 28, 2008. Subsequent meetings have generally been held once a month on a Tuesday evening at 7P.M. at Tall Oaks Community Center. Meeting dates are announced in advance in the Lake Ridge Today newsletter, the Association website, www.lakeridgeva.com, and on the marquee sign at the corner of Old Bridge Road and Oakwood Drive. Association homeowners are encouraged to attend committee meetings to participate in this ongoing process.

Once the committee has agreed on a proposed revision, it is sent to the Board of Directors for review and subsequently posted on the Association's website, www.lakeridgeva.com  for homeowner comment and input.
