Youth T-Ball & Coach Pitch
In the spring and fall, Lake Ridge offers T-Ball and Coach Pitch. Players will learn the fundamentals of batting, fielding, throwing, and running the bases.
Both leagues are instructional in nature and emphasize fundamentals and team play over competition.
- LRPRA Soccer and Baseball Fields (Next to Walgreens, Intersection of Old Bridge + Smoketown)
Schedule - Fall 2023
Season Dates: August 13 - October 15
If you have not received an email from your coach by March 31 (Spring) or July 31 (Fall), you can view your TEAM INFO by signing into CivicRec under your Account tab, Transaction History, and the Activities sub-tab. You must be on a computer or switch your phone to "Desktop View" to see this information.
Practices and games take place on Sundays only. The season runs from mid April to mid June for 9 weeks total-- the first 3 Sundays are practices and the following 6 Sundays are games.
The youngest age group (T-Ball) plays first each week starting at 12:00pm, followed by the older age groups (Coach Pitch). Each game is 50 minutes long, with a 10-minute buffer between games for the previous 2 teams to clear out and the next 2 teams to set up. A detailed schedule for your team's specific practice and game times will be created and emailed out to parents at least 2 weeks before the start of the season.
Rain Out Information
Rain-Out Line: (703) 389-5336
T-Ball & Coach Pitch: Updated 1x Sundays by 11:00am
When rain is in the forecast, the Rain-Out Line is your best tool to check whether sports are running. With safety, fairness and field preservation as our priorities, we do our best to play as much as we can unless there is a high percentage through the day or fields are saturated from rain the day prior. If the Rain-Out Line states sports are running for the day and a storm unexpectedly moves in, coaches will make the call and update parents directly if the decision is made to cancel. Save the number in your phone to reference for both sports and swim lessons.
Make-Up: While rained out practices are not made up, an additional date for a rained out a game is included in your season schedule if needed.
For more information, email or call the Recreation Department at (703) 491-2154.
