Trails Oversight Committee

The Trails Oversight Committee was formed to continue oversight of the planning and development of the Occoquan Greenway, a public trail system linking the County Government Complex to the Town of Occoquan. Portions of this trail run though the Lake Ridge community.

Currently, 4 miles of the route are open to the public – between Springwoods Drive and Cotton Mill Drive in Lake Ridge. Though some sections are paved, the majority of the trail surface is crushed stone and compacted dirt.

Following approval of the Deed of Lease and Trail Agreement by the Prince William County Board of Supervisors in 2014, the Trails Oversight Committee continues to work with the Prince William County Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism on the oversight of this long-term project.
